CLINICAL TRIALS UNIT DUTY, AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.WORKING CONDITIONS:
1.1. Working Hours: It is arranged in the form of working hours between 08:00 and 16:30 on weekdays.
1.2. Trainings Required: Good Clinical Practices Training, in-house and external in-service trainings deemed appropriate by the coordinator
2. TASK DEFINITION: Ensuring that the clinical trials conducted in our hospital comply with the relevant regulations and guidelines.
3. DUTIES, AUTHORITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure compliance of clinical studies conducted / to be conducted in Ege University Faculty of Medicine Hospital with the Regulation on Clinical Researches of Medicines and Biological Products and Good Clinical Practices Guide,
- To coordinate the clinical trials conducted in our hospital,
- To determine the regulations regarding the establishment of research infrastructure,
- Preparing information technology infrastructures related to clinical trials and unit operations and adapting them to national and international databases,
- Leading national and international initiatives, establishing connections,
- To train scientists, researchers and support staff who can compete with the universal standards and qualifications found in clinical research units or centers around the world,
- To ensure active participation by creating awareness in all clinics of the university in clinical research scientific studies, to create R&D, new drug development and venture courage,
- To try to develop a better quality health service for the community through basic and clinical studies, including new surgical methods,
- To communicate with national and international collaborators and Clinical Research Networks,
- To monitor data, to make statistical analysis of researches,
- Providing consultancy services to researchers,
- To provide the necessary communication to attract clinical trials to the institution,
- Helping researchers to solve their research-related problems,
- To ensure the development of new researches,
- To provide communication environments with different disciplines for different research components,
- Communicating with relevant units for industry-supported research.
- Preparing reports requested by the management.
